Adding a New Chart
In order to start graphing a particular machine, we must add that machine to the device first.
Navigate through the browswer to console -> Devices. Click on the "Add" located at the top right corner.
1. Enter the necessary information in the blank fill, example Description(name which describe the host) and Hostname(can be either a IP address or the hostname of the particular machine).
2. For the Host Template option, you can choose any templates which associate with the status of your host machine. Do note that different templates will give you different type of defaults graphs but additional graphs can be added as you wish. In the case, we will choose "Grid Summary".
3. The "Host Grid Association" will allow RTM to know which cluster does this device belong to. Choose the option according and if it does not belong to any cluster, please choose "N/A".
4. The rest of the forms can be left as default. Click on the "create button" to create the device.
5. After the page refreshes, there will be the option "Create Graphs for this Host" at the top of the page.
6. Click on the link and the browser will bring load to next page whereby the default graphs for the "Grid Summary" template will be displayed.
7. Click on the checkboxes found on the left to decide which graphs to create followed by clicking on the "create" button. The next page will allow user to make some minor changes on how to graph the host, click on the "create" button when the necessary changes are made.
8. To allow viewing of the graph on the graph tree, navigate from console -> Graph Trees.
9. Click on the "Add" click found at the top right corner. Enter a name for the particular tree and click on the "create" button.
10. Navigate from the console -> Graph Management. Click on those "Graph Title" that are associated to the newly create device. From the drop-down menu, choose the option "Place on tree(newly_created_device_name)" and click on the "go" button followed by the "yes" button.
11. By now, the graphs have been successfully added to the graph tree. Navigate to the "Graph" tab and you will be able to see the newly created graph tree.
